Why is that we frequent health stores and farmer markets in search of wholesome natural foods, but yet when it comes to our pets, we throw dry, highly processed food in their bowls?
Why is that we are weary of foods that contain preservatives and refined processed carbs but when it comes to our pets this is not a consideration?
Why is it that when it comes to feeding our children we take pride and joy in preparing their dinners and lunches, and yet when it comes to our pets, we pour dry pellets into their bowls without even looking at them in the eye?
Why is it that we are very careful as to the grooming products and creams that we place on our skins, and yet when it comes to grooming our pets and using flea repellents, we apply dangerous and poisonous chemicals onto and into their bodies?
Why is it that we are appalled by companies that engage in animal testing to enhance their brand but when it comes to pet care, we do not scrutinize whether the food we use or remedies we use, are from companies that engage in animal testing?
So many true questions with honest answers.
Perhaps, if we treat our furry friends and companion animals as we do our own families, we will resolve these issues.
